    Article summary

You can use the item list to display a listing of how many units per component a user needs for their use case on the results page. The item list therefore acts as a recommendation logic that you can use to create simple calculations.

To configure an item list, create simple formulas for addition or multiplication in the menu item Algorithm . Then enter the values required for the calculation per product in the matrix.

    Example: Item list

Your imaginary painting company is a lucrative business and you would now like to put together your well-deserved dream car. To do this, use the item list selector on the retailer's website. If you only have one vehicle, you need four tires. However, if you want to buy two cars at the same time, eight tires must be included and displayed accordingly on the results page. The calculation of 2 cars (= information in the questionnaire) x 4 tires (= stored values in the matrix) = 8 (= recommended tire quantity on the results page) is performed by the platform (see Fig. 1).

⚠️ Note: Special features and limitations

If you decide to use the item list logic, you should note the following special features:

    • In contrast to the matrix and the filters, the item list allows less leeway for subsequent customization of the CSS styling. The results page always displays a list.

    • In addition, there is no navigation bar on the results page of the item list. As a result, users can no longer click on certain questions after completing the questionnaire in order to change their answers afterwards. In this case, the questionnaire must be restarted.
