    Setting the recommendation logic

    Article summary

You can select the recommendation logic via the Algorithm tab:

    • matrixRecommendation: This is the default setting.

The matrix follows the principle of the weighted recommendation: You enter numerical values per product and per answer in the workbench under the Matrix tab. When you go through the questionnaire, the platform then calculates which product best matches the requirements by multiplying the values entered. The recommendation unit with the highest value is displayed first on the results page.

A combination of matrix and filters is also possible with the setting.

    • filterRecommendation: Use this setting if you only want to use filters for your logic. Filter works according to the principle of either/or logic: As with a kitchen sieve, unsuitable products are gradually filtered out with every question answered. The recommendations that fulfil all the user's criteria remain on the result page.

    • postProcessorRecommendation: Setting for the use of calculation logic. The Post Processor allows both simple and complex calculations to be stored and, in contrast to the parts list, enables a more flexible configuration of the results page. Nested if-then logic can also be integrated.

    • itemListRecommendation: Setting for the use of item lists. Using the item list , you can display a list of how many units per component a user needs for their use case on the results page. The item list is therefore a recommendation logic that you can use to calculate simple costings.
